    Liaocheng People's Hospital was approved as the designated unit of liver transplantation by the Ministry of Health in 2007, and it is also one of the two units that have obtained the qualification of liver transplantation in prefectural and municipal hospitals in China. There are 3 visiting professors, 1 assistant chief physician and 4 doctors in organ transplantation surgery, all of whom have master's degree or above. Professional nursing team with rich experience in organ transplantation. There were 14 open beds, including 4 laminar flow isolation beds after organ transplantation. One outpatient department of liver cirrhosis and organ transplantation surgery was set up. There are 2 observation beds for organ donation waiters, 1 transfer vehicle for organ donation waiters, 1 operation room for organ acquisition and 1 clinical skills training room for organ transplantation. Li Zhu was appointed Director of Organ Transplantation Surgery.


    Organ transplantation surgery routinely carries out various types of liver transplantation and other organ transplantation outpatient follow-up work. End-stage liver diseases such as cirrhosis, congenital biliary obliteration, hereditary metabolic diseases of the liver and acute liver failure can be cured by liver transplantation. Liver cancer patients who are difficult to resect can prolong their survival and improve their quality of life through liver transplantation. In the case of living donor liver transplantation from a relative donor liver, the hospital has set up a special program to support patients with financial difficulties to recover through liver transplantation.


    Organ transplantation surgery began to carry out liver transplantation in 2003. Up to now, there have been 2 cases of double-donor living donor liver transplantation, 1 case of infant liver transplantation and 40 cases of non-heart-beating organ donation liver transplantation. The recipient survival rate has reached the advanced level in China in 1, 3 and 5 years after operation. In 2017, complex and difficult operations such as trans-blood liver transplantation, second liver transplantation, combined liver and kidney transplantation, liver transplantation and pancreaticoduodenectomy were completed, which filled the gap in Western Shandong.


    In recent years, more than 50 papers have been published, 7 of which have been included by SCI. They have participated in the research group of the Youth Science Foundation of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. They have won one third prize for health science and technology achievements in Shandong Province, one third prize for scientific and technological progress in Shandong Province, one third prize for natural science innovation achievements in Shandong Province, one publication work and two invention patents.
